MPL’s Review Of Una Una Singapore
I recently visited Una Una and had a great time exploring their unagi and Japanese dishes. The atmosphere was cozy, perfect for relaxing over good food and drinks.
I started with the Unagi Hitsumabushi, a signature dish that truly delivered. The grilled eel was tender and flavorful, with a smoky taste that worked well with the rice and condiments. I loved mixing in the wasabi, green onions, and broth, it gave each bite a different kick.
I also tried the Unagi Chawanmushi. The steamed egg custard was smooth and rich, and the unagi topping added a nice layer of flavor.
For something with a little more spice, the Spicy Unagi Hitsumabushi was perfect. The spice was just right, not overpowering, and it added a bit of heat to the classic unagi.
To balance the meal, I ordered a refreshing Coke Zero. It went well with the rich flavors, especially after the heavier hitsumabushi dishes.
For a lighter bite, the Grilled Salmon Mentaiko was delicious. The salmon was soft, and the mentaiko sauce added a creamy, slightly salty taste. I also enjoyed the Chicken Karaage, which was crispy on the outside and juicy inside.
Overall, Una Una delivered great food with unique flavors. I’d say the only downside is that some dishes could have a bit more spice. But if you’re a fan of unagi, it’s definitely worth a visit!
