MPL’s Review Of Komala Vilas Restaurant Singapore
I recently visited Komala Vilas Restaurant, a place famous for its authentic South Indian cuisine. The moment I walked in, I could smell the rich spices and feel the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
I started with their Masala Dosai. The dosai was crispy and golden, and the masala filling inside was flavorful but not too spicy. It came with a side of chutney and sambar. The chutney had a nice tang, while the sambar was comforting and hearty. It was the perfect combination.
Next, I tried the Vegetable Briyani. The rice was fragrant and well-cooked. It was served with vegetable curry, kuruma, and raita. I loved how the curry was rich and the raita cooled everything down. It was so filling!
To wash it all down, I ordered a fresh lime juice. It was sweet and tangy, just what I needed after all that rich food. The Buttermilk was also a great choice, refreshing and smooth, helping to balance the spices.
For dessert, I had payasam, a creamy, sweet rice pudding that was the perfect end to my meal.
The experience at Komala Vilas was really satisfying. The flavors were bold but not overwhelming. I didn’t find any dish too heavy, and everything felt fresh. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy.
I would definitely come back to try more dishes. If you love South Indian food, this is a must-visit place!
